The Saturdays: Third Album Is Tough | The Saturdays
The Saturdays have revealed that they will find it "tough" making a third album.
The five-piece insisted that they want to release a new record every year, but are struggling to find the time in their schedule to write music.
"Most bands disappear in the studio for a couple of months and just concentrate on their new album," the group told the Daily Star.
"We'd love to do that but it's dead important to still be around. It means album three will be tough because we'd like to take time out this year to focus on it so we can write more of our own tracks."
The band, who release new single Ego today, admitted that they wanted more time to pen their own material on current album Wordshaker.
"We'd planned to do that with Wordshaker but because things were going so well we wanted to get it out quickly," they said. "We wrote the track called Deeper and all of our B-sides, so we're definitely taking a step in the right direction."

'Ego, the seventh single, is OUT NOW!.
As of today, you can download the single, as well as remixes to the track, from any online download store, such as iTunes. Not only that, but tomorrow (04.01.2010), you will be able to buy your physical copy of the single from any musical retail store, like HMV.
Everyone must go out and buy the band's 'Ego', they really do deserve this to get into the top 10 (hopefully number 1), as the single has already entered the top 20 on downloads alone, so it looks like it's going to be a massive hit for them, but they still need all your help to get into the much deserved top 10 position. Also, their album, Wordshaker, is still out in the shops too.

Sorry I've not been in touch for a while… It's been crazy busy!
It was so great to be back on the Strictly final dancing again last weekend! I'd missed dancing so much and of course Vincent, so I was so excited to be back… I cant believe that it was a year ago… time flies but being back on the show was like I had never left!
Also, just so you all know, I'm going to be on the Strictly Christmas Special performing a Rumba… so don't forget to tune in on Christmas day!
Some of you may have read in a couple of the papers that I'm getting back into music, it's very early stages at the moment but I'm going into the studio in the new year..... all very exciting! I'll keep you all posted with what's going on.
Anyway going to try and finish off my Christmas shopping now... so much to do!!!

Happy Holidays | Other News
I, for one, would love to say Happy Holidays to everyone at SClubers.com, and the visitors. 2009 has been a bumpy past. I am extremely grateful for being able to have joined the staff of SClubers, to help bring all fans news, as this site has always done for me.
I cannot wait for 2010, the new year and decade to see what it all brings me. I will be disappearing from the holidays, and will be officially back posting (hopefully) in January after enjoying some relaxing holidays with family and myself.

UPDATE: I am also planning to re-rip and upload my HQ copy of Boyfriends and Birthdays (Full UK Version) in widescreen as the DVD rip software i used to rip our current version (available for download in S Vision) squashed the widescreen and lost some quality, so stay tuned for that.

According to a journalist who met up with Rachel at the Take That's PS3 SingStar Game Launch, our very own Mrs. Alex Bourne will be heading back into the studio in 2010 to begin recording some new music. Below is a quote, supposedly from Rachel?
“I love music – that’s my main passion in life so I’m going to head back into the studio and start working on new music next year. I’ve had a nice break from recording and I’m ready to get back to what I truly love doing.”
I want you all to remember that these reports are UNCONFIRMED and are speculations and rumors at this point. It is also unknown at this point if Rachel has signed a new record label, since being dropped from Polydor Records in 2007. It was GREATLY rumored that she has signed to Fascination Records, home of Girls Aloud and our very own The Saturdays.
Could 2010 see the return of our very own Rachel Stevens?

SEXY girlband The Saturdays want to give Susan Boyle a makeover - and last night offered to take her SHOPPING.
The chart-topping girls - who were at Glasgow's Oran Mor venue - are dying to glam up the West Lothian star.
They were performing at Galaxy FM's glitzy first birthday party.
They joined a star-studded line-up which included Taio Cruz, Pixie Lott and Mobo winners N-Dubz.
But the girls - who belted out hits I Just Can't Get Enough and Issues - were more concerned about SuBo.
Saturdays' babe Vanessa White, 20, said: "Susan could definitely hang out with us, we'd love to take her shopping. I know she's back in Scotland after being in America, so I was hoping she'd call us to take her out."
Taio, 24, got the party started with a short set which included new single No Other One.
He said: "I wish I could sing a lot more songs as this is a great party but they're making me go."
Hip hop stars N-Dubz made the bash after playing the city's SECC, even though rapper Fazer had a cold. The 22-year-old said: "There is no alcohol for me tonight - that would mess me up even more.
"It's a big enough challenge playing two gigs but I've taken some paracetamol."
Fazer - and bandmates Tulisa and Dappy - have a soft spot for the city, after bagging two Mobos in September.
He added: "To win Best Album at the Mobos was special. We worked so hard and then Best Act was the icing on the cake with a cherry - and to do that in Glasgow means we'll always remember the city."
Meanwhile, Pixie Lott jetted into the bash from Los Angeles and sparkled in silver hot-pants.
The 18-year-old performed three songs - including Mama Do - and was flanked by a pair of gorgeous dancers.

tonights show cancelled *UPDATED* | Touring, The Saturdays
Tonight, The Saturdays were set to take the stage and turn on the birmingham christmas lights joined by JLS, Pixie Lott and Alexandra Burke. However whilest The Saturdays where on the motorway making there way to the gig, it got cancelled. This was due to a mob of JLS fans who apparently made it "unsafe" to be there. The Saturdays and Alexandra both tweeted saying they were gutted it has been cancelled and they had to turn around on the motorway.
UPDATE: Although The Saturdays, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott and Calvin Harris wernt there as they were told it was cancelled earlier on today, JLS went ahead with the performance. After their performance the crowd was told that the other acts will not be coming. The crowd then got angry and started throwing things at the stage, breaking barriers and climbing walls. The worst of it is that there was a stabbing and a possible shooting. See BBC or a news show for more on this story...

Just got in from The Saturdays, Basshunter and Mr Hudson performing and switching on the Cheshire Oaks christmas lights. They were amazing but as it was PISSING DOWN my pictures arent the best cos there was rain on the lense. Plus when the sats were performing my video button wouldnt work cos it had rain in it so i was just raving in the rain! But i did manage to catch The Saturdays and Basshunter turning on the lights and singing a christmas song on video. Theres one of my pictures above but i will post all my pics in the gallery soon so stay tuned...

The Saturdays on "Celebrating The Carpenters" | The Saturdays
According to a television advert, The Saturdays will be performing live on the ITV1 called "Celebrating The Carpenters" which will be celebrating the hit group The Carpenters, who were a hit group until the tragic death of Karen Carpenter, from a then un-diagnosed disease of anorexia nervosa.

Hello, SClubers.com visitors! I am Scott, and I am here helping out the staff post news to the site.
I have been a fan of S Club since the first time I saw their series "S Club 7 in Miami" on the Fox Family Channel. I remember, it was the episode where the sang "Dancing Queen" and I was hooked since. I can honestly say I am EXTREMELY excited to begin working with the staff on the site, as SClubers.com has always been my favourite S Club fansite since it was S Club 8trix.

NEWS IS SO SLOW ATM!!! 
Nothing to update about. However on Friday is the day that The Saturdays are turning on the BIGGEST christmas tree in Europe, cheshire oaks. They will perform about 7 songs and will be joined by Mr Hudson, Basshunter and exclusively to sclubers, chipmunk may be making an appearance. Peter Andre was going to be joining them but now cant make it.
I will be attending the event and taking lots of pictures and filming a few performances so check back here this weekend! Dont forget to send in any pictures you take to jackcavell@hotmail.co.uk we will credit you! :)

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog but I wanted to wait for something worth talking about and boy it’s a goody.
It’s been marinating for a while and now it’s just about ready! Yes I’m very excited to announce I will be performing a track from my solo album for the very first time, no S Club 7 just me! live at the Born Free charity event, Wild and Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
It’s for a great cause and lots of different artists are performing including a peronal fav Bryan Adams.

Unfortunetly Stacey McClean (S Club Juniors) Didnt make it through to the X Factor live final's last night although she was actually better than the other contestants and already a public favourite to win but because it was up to Danni Minogue at this stage of the competition, Stacey didnt get through. As I live close to and my parents work at Cheshire Oaks I have an inside source on some info...
Christmas is coming and the turning on of the Cheshire Oaks christmas lights is always a special occasion. According to my source, The Saturdays will be part of the Setlist performing and turning on this years lights! The celebs get officially confirmed tomorrow so I will update then!
Last year Cheshire Oaks had the BIGGEST christmas tree in the UK and X Factor winner, Shayne Ward and some other X Factor contestants turned on the lights. If its true about The Saturdays then looks like they have stepped up a bit this year!
If this is true then I will also be able to have the chance to go backstage and have a meet and greet session with just me a friend and The Saturdays which means exclusive pictures!

THE SATURDAYS are getting a rock makeover with the help of former Busted star James Bourne.
Rising girlband Una, 27, Frankie, 20, Vanessa, 19, Rochelle, 20, and Molly, 22, are hard at work on their second album and have earmarked a tune by the Year 3000 songwriter for their next single.
Forever Is Over will be the first release from the highly-anticipated new Saturdays record and it’ll cement their status as the hottest new female group on the block. A source revealed: “Forever Is Over will be the song which finally distances The Saturdays from all the Girls Aloud clones remarks.
“It’s totally unlike anything they’ve ever done before. It’s a big ‘F*** you’ to a boyfriend after a break-up, and sounds like nothing Girls Aloud would ever release either.
“Everyone around the band is very excited as they’ve really started to hone their own sound. James [above] wrote all of Busted’s No 1s, and a massive bunch of McFly hits too, so he knows what he’s doing when it comes to pop and rock with a mainstream edge.”
The Saturdays have tied up a sell-out theatre tour, and will play the Virgin Media V Festival this month, without pausing for a break before the new album hits shelves in October.
On the Work tour they aired new tracks Wordshaker and One Shot, both of which have a stronger R&B/rock flavour.
Source added: “This is The Saturdays as you would never expect them. They are keen to push themselves with a stronger sound.”

S Club Juniors star Stacey McClean auditioned for The X Factor in Manchester last week.
The former child popstar was among the hopefuls on Saturday, July 3, singing in front of a live audience of 1,300 fans at Manchester Central.
An X Factor spokesperson told DS: "Yes, Stacey did audition this weekend. However, we can't reveal whether she got through to the second round. You'll have to wait until the show airs in the autumn on ITV1."
S Club Juniors, who later changed their name to S Club 8, released albums Together and Sundown between 2002 and 2003. They included the hits singles 'One Step Closer', 'Automatic High' and a cover of 'Puppy Love'.
McClean's former bandmates Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman are now members of The Saturdays.
On her MySpace page, McClean is described as a "very beautiful, strong and independent young woman" with a love for R&B music.

I know that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone but hey its possible this is true...
On wikipedia it has recently been added that Jo O'Meara's second studio album will be titled 'These Little Moments' and four 'Confirmed' tracks from the album are These Little Moments, My Tears, Relentless(New Version) and If You See Through Me .
It then goes on too say that this is Jo's comeback album and that she has been working with producers in both America and the UK.
It also states that there is no release date except that it will be released sometime in 2009.

Cash-strapped ITV has axed hit dinosaur show Primeval. The Saturday night sci-fi programme has had more than five million viewers an episode since February 2007. The series stars Jason Flemyng, Ben Miller, Andrew Lee-Potts and former S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt, as scientists investigating prehistoric and futuristic creatures. Itv said: "After three very successful series of Primeval, there are no plans at present for it to return to ITV." A show source said: "We're certain that although this stage of its evolution seems over, Primeval isn't dead."
I wonder whats next for Primeval? A movie, new channel, spin off type thing hmmm?

Michael Jackson, the King of pop died yesterday from cardiac arrest. When the ambulance arrived on the scence Michael wasnt breathing, then two hours later he was confirmed by BBC, Sky news and most other tv news stations that he had infact died.
This may be non S Club related but without Michael Jackson, music wouldnt be what it is today. The world is in shock. Your a ledgend, our king of pop and your music will live on forever.

The girl group, who are currently on tour, admit that they would like their second album to continue in a similar style to ‘Chasing Lights’ – but add that it is definitely a progression from their 2008 debut.
Speaking to Digital Spy, band member Mollie King explains: “It’s a similar sound. We’ve got a lot of people that like our sound at the moment so we didn’t want to go too different.”
“But it is a progression.” King continues. “Your second album always needs to be.”

Danny, Abby and Connor travel to the future in pursuit of Helen while Sarah and Captain Becker try to stop the Megopterans from destroying the ARC. Waiting... waiting... and more waiting! When will we see this 'Work' music video. The suspense is killing me!
The music video was shot on the 16th May by Nez, who previously filmed the music video for "The Fear" by Lily Allen. A behind the scenes promotion for PC computers was released, showing the girls dancing in a factory, covered in oil and dark clothing.
On the single cd release the b-side will be called Unofficial.
